Ice Cream Trivial Tonight!
Tuesday, October 12th, 2010Oh my, have I ever been delinquent in my “weekly” updates! September was so very extra busy with special events and such – trivia fundraisers for ECO & FirstBook, lunar quizzery, my annual WordStock trivia nights, and newfound fame for two of my minions! And so many more special events in the very near future . . .
First of all, on this very night, I will host an “Ice Cream Trivial” at Jade Lounge. I haven’t done a taste round in quite some time, and since they make their own ice cream at Jade, it’s the perfect choice for tonight’s Whammy round! Each team will taste several different kinds, and earn a point for each flavor correctly identified. I will be your host, as I have taken over trivia jockey duties at this venue. (Fear not, Charlene fans – she will still make beautiful trivia for you at The WorkShop Pub every hump-day at 8:30!) If you don’t come to the Ice Cream Trivial tonight at 7:00, we will mock you Eddie Murphy-style (we know you can afford it, cuz it’s free!):
And while I’m tempting you with food, remember that every Saturday at 2 PM brings the Breakfast of Champions! Bloody Mary bar for only $4, biscuits & gravy for only $2, and the greatest hits of Triviology for only an hour and a half of your time. I will be your host this Saturday at The Slammer, then Jon will resume his weekly duties there as a freshly married man (it has been a very nuptual summer here at ShanRock’s Triviology)!
And it is not too late to buy tickets for this Saturday’s BarFly Brain Drain Trivia Bus! Only $80 for a team of four, and the victors receive $100 cash – feel free to immediately convert those winnings into alcohol! My material will be drunked down for the booze bus, so come play with me . . . because you’ll have to wait a whole nother year until the next one!
