KGW is Filming at Ella St. Social Club Tonight!

It’s true – mere minutes ago, the KGW news team let me know that they will be at Ella Street Social Club tonight, filming the Triviology for their “Live at 7:00” segment! So come on out and make your trivia jockey look good, why dontcha – let’s get some butts in the seats! Bring those trophies, banners and sweet ShanRock’s Triviology T-shirts that so many of you have, if you are so inclined – they’ll probably increase your chance of air time! As always, Kyle will be your host at this venue, and as always, I will be in attendance, handing out gold stars for every team that shows up. Though the quiz usually begins a bit after six, we’ll probably start a bit later, so please do me a solid and come on down even if you’re running late. Ella St. Social Club is at 714 SW 20th Place, just south of Burnside, close to The Bitter End. And for serious, there are great happy hours prices ($1 PBRs & $2.50 wells) here, so drink up!

Corky Smells The Glove Tonight!

Tonight’s the night (July 11th) to let your inner folkie/dog-lover/Taphead/community-theatre-performer out! Join me at Peter’s 19th Hole at 7:00 for Corky Smells The Glove: The Mockumentaries of Christopher Guest! This quiz will honor the lives, the loves, the music and the hilarity of the characters created by Guest and his crew. Prizes will include gift certificates to the bar, some silly and fun prizes, and a majestic trophy which will delight your senses. And don’t forget – costumes rule!

Also, you have another chance to double up on your prizes at Ella Street Social Club this Monday. The champions of this 6:00 quiz will get some fun mystery prizes . . . AND Montage brunch gift certificates. You know, if you’re currently unemployed, playing Triviology is a good way to get you out of the house, keep your mind sharp, and bring home the bacon. In fact, why not put “Perennial Trivia Champion” on your resume?! Success in both Triviology and employment requires breadth of knowledge, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
