Slight change of plans for Monday’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia quiz. While writing the questions, I realized that I must ask them myself – they are too much fun to resist! Therefore, Kyle and I will play Freaky Friday for the night; I will host the 7:00 Sunny Philly quiz at Ella St. Social Club while Kyle hosts a regular Triviology quiz at my Monday venue, HawHide, at 8:00. Come join the fun at the Sunny Philly quiz – there will be karate and friendship for everyone, as together we fight the Nightman; The Champion of the Sun will receive a trophy and prizes! Crazy Paddy also wants you to know that during trivia at Ella St. Social Club, you won’t need a pot o’ gold to get sloppy –  $1 PBRs and $2.50 well drinks!

There has also been a change in the weekly Triviology schedule – I have retired my Sunday night Ladd’s Inn quiz (on friendly terms, of course!), though I will continue to host my Sunday 6:00 quiz atEast Burn. And now that there’s no 9:00 trivia to dash off to afterwards, I recommend that you stick around East Burn for movie night. Each week after the quiz, your excellent bartender Keith plays a double feature on the movie screen – this week’s films will be “something Halloweeny.” Great way to nurse your hangover after a Saturday night, right? Now, for those of you that wanted to score The Elevegeddon (by playing trivia at all 11 of my venues), you may still do so even though Ladd’s is no longer a Triviology bar. This Tuesday, go to O’Brien’s on NW 21st for 7:30 trivia hosted by my trivia sensei, Drew. O’Brien’s, by the way, has $2 well drinks and $2 burgers at all times, and “cheap” tastes delicious!

Quizzers at The Hutch got to see Trivia Jock Scott save the day last week. During the I Don’t Feel Tardy music round, his MP3 player pooped out on him . . . and so he made up a similar round to replace it: Satellite Radio Suicide! He played a few seconds of whatever songs happened to be on the satellite radio station, and folks of course identified the titles and artists. Fast thinking, Scott – you made a super-fun, unique game out of a challenging situation – I owe you a cocktail!

Not only did SAMURAI I AMURAI just become the first team to achieve The Elevegeddon, they even racked up multiple wins this week (under different team names)! And, after playing at all 11 of my venues, they plan to add Wxyz to their weekly Triviology schedule. They have been lured in not only by the ambience of the bar itself, but by the ample prizes – not only does Wxyz award gift certificate to the champion team, but also to the winners of different rounds! Check it out, Tuesdays at 8:00 in Aloft Hotel.

I am having so much fun writing questions for the November 2nd It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia quiz night! Though Kyle will be your host, and is also a huge fan of the show, I can’t resist writing the questions myself. It was a great excuse to watch The Gang’s misadventures once more, as they went America all over everybody’s ass, danced their asses off, and engaged in ass-play. The quiz will be held at Ella Street Social Club, and though they offer $1 PBRs for trivia every Monday, there will be no milk available – so if you’re a McPoyle, it’s BYOM.

Speaking of fun theme nights, I just received a couple of great pictures from the John Hughes trivia night I held in August. In honor of Weird Science, team Cobra Kai wore some very special headgear. Looking good, ladies!
